Sacramento politicians want to tax your text messages
Just when the cost of living in California couldn't get worse, Sacramento politicians tried to raise our cell phone bills through a tax on every text message you send — potentially costing Californians tens of millions of dollars every year.
Despite a poll suggesting 85% of Californians are opposed to a tax on text messages, these out-of-touch politicians pushed forward.
Because of the massive show of public opposition to this bad tax that our petition has helped generate, politicians have temporarily removed the proposal from their upcoming meeting agenda. But you can bet it will be back!
